About Me

Who Am I?

I am a certified animal caretaker with a specialization in dog massage. I trained for 2 years and graduated in 2013 from Koulutuskeskus Salpaus. Since then, I have worked as a dog masseuse. I attend lectures and training sessions frequently to keep my knowledge up to date. At the moment, I am studying at Koulutuskeskus Salpaus to further my dog physiology competency.

Most of the dogs I have owned were rescues and had a lot of problems, which is why I became a dog masseuse. My knowledge has helped me solve a variety of problems, such as structural defects, trauma, osteoarthritis, and psyche (e.g. shyness and aggression).

How massage has helped my dogs

Oliver

Oliver came to us from Greece first for special home care and then for special adoption because he had a deformed front leg. The paining leg was amputated, which is why Oliver’s body gets strained asymmetrically and the muscles become tense. Fortunately, I can keep him in good shape with massage.

Sophia

The newest member of the pack, Sophia, has a lovely personality. She was found in Bosnia abandoned, very skinny and even shot, but also pregnant and with broken hind legs. Now she grins happily with her new dog and cat friends. However, her pelvis would ache without regular massage.

Nasu

Nasu suffered from severe hip dysplasia, and was given a prognosis of 6 months. With the help of massage, she lived an additional 5 years after her prognosis.

Mokka

Mokka (German Shepherd) had osteoarthritis and spondylosis. Before we took her in, she was malnourished and abused, causing malformation in her bones. Massaging and stretching helped with the pain, but her problems were untreatable.

Skidi

Skidi (Great Dane) had osteoarthritis. She lived to be 11 years old thanks to massaging, even though her prognosis was 3 years.

Sulo

Sulo (Great Dane) was about to be euthanized five times due to his aggression before joining our family. With proper love and care, he became a conformation show dog and a Finnish Champion.
