About Me

Who Am I?

I trained to become an animal attendant and specialized in dog massaging at Koulutuskeskus Salpaus. The training lasted for 2 years and I graduated in 2013, and I have worked as a dog masseuse ever since. In addition to that, I am constantly attending lectures and training sessions to revise and update my knowledge. At the moment I am studying in an animal care institution again to be the most competent dog masseuse possible.

Most of the animals I have owned have been rescues, and they have had a lot problems. That is why I became interested in dog massage and I found it a tremendous help for a variety of problems, such as structural defects, traumas, osteoarthritis and psyche (e.g. shyness and aggression).

My latest dog, Nasu, suffered from severe hip dysplasia, and was given a lifetime expectation of 6 months. With the help of massage, she lived an additional 5 years after her prognosis.

My Great Dane, Skidi, who had osteoarthritis, lived to be 11 years old thanks to massaging, even though her prognosis was 3 years.

My German shepherd Mokka’s bones were malformed due to malnutrition and animal cruelty before we took her in. She also had osteoarthritis and spondylosis. Massaging and stretching helped with her pain but her problems were untreatable.

My other Great Dane, Sulo, was about to be euthanized five times because of his aggression before he became a part of our family. With us he became a conformation show dog and a Finnish Champion. So I also have experience with aggressive dogs.
